Hello Class,
Welcome to Advanced Reading & Writing Summer 2016! I am happy to teach you this month! In our class blog, I hope we can share about ourselves and to get to know each other better. This is a fun form of communication and expression and I hope you will all enjoy it.
For each post, write Topic and the corresponding number. Then you can write a title to your post. For the first blog blog, please share a little about yourself. Tell me about your family, your work, your interests or hobbies, and where you came from. In addition, share something that most people do not know about you.
As for myself, I have been teaching ESL for over 10 years. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and learning about their cultures. I have 3 daughters, ages 24, 21, and 17, and I have been married for 26 years. My family came from China about 60 years ago. My parents came here in the mid 1950's to study for their university degrees. They met and married in New York. My brother and I were both born in the U.S., and likewise, our children were also born here, making them third generation Chinese-Americans. I have lived in Los Angeles/Orange County all of my life. In my spare time, I like to do things with my hands, such as gardening, painting, fixing things, or other craft making. What most people do not know about me is that I am very flexible and I can do the splits! :)
